महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-89, verse-8

सकृत्पाशावकीर्णास्ते न भविष्यन्ति दुर्दमाः ।
उचितेनैव भोक्तव्यास्ते भविष्यन्ति यत्नतः ॥८॥

8. Once they are ensnared by ropes, they will not be difficult to tame. They will, with effort, become manageable through proper means.
