महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-89, verse-10

ततस्तान्भेदयित्वाथ परस्परविवक्षितान् ।
भुञ्जीत सान्त्वयित्वैव यथासुखमयत्नतः ॥१०॥
10. tatastānbhedayitvātha parasparavivakṣitān ,
bhuñjīta sāntvayitvaiva yathāsukhamayatnataḥ.

bhuñjīta sāntvayitvā eva yathāsukham ayatnataḥ
10. tataḥ atha parasparavivakṣitān bhedayitvā,
eva sāntvayitvā,
tān yathāsukham ayatnataḥ bhuñjīta
10. Then, having caused those who have mutually conflicting intentions to be divided, one should (then) gain advantage from them by conciliating them, comfortably and without effort.
