महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-89, verse-21

ये भूतान्यनुगृह्णन्ति वर्धयन्ति च ये प्रजाः ।
ते ते राष्ट्रे प्रवर्तन्तां मा भूतानामभावकाः ॥२१॥

21. ye bhūtānyanugṛhṇanti vardhayanti ca ye prajāḥ ,
te te rāṣṭre pravartantāṁ mā bhūtānāmabhāvakāḥ.

21. May those who show favor to living beings (bhūta), and those who foster the growth of the populace (prajā), indeed flourish in your kingdom (rāṣṭra). And may there not be those who cause the ruin of beings (bhūta).
