महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-89, verse-1

युधिष्ठिर उवाच ।
यदा राजा समर्थोऽपि कोशार्थी स्यान्महामते ।
कथं प्रवर्तेत तदा तन्मे ब्रूहि पितामह ॥१॥
1. yudhiṣṭhira uvāca ,
yadā rājā samartho'pi kośārthī syānmahāmate ,
kathaṁ pravarteta tadā tanme brūhi pitāmaha.

1. Yudhishthira said: "O great-minded one, if a king, even though capable, becomes intent on accumulating wealth, how should he then proceed? Please tell me that, O grandfather."
