महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-89, verse-15

न केनचिद्याचितव्यः कश्चित्किंचिदनापदि ।
इति व्यवस्था भूतानां पुरस्तान्मनुना कृता ॥१५॥
15. na kenacidyācitavyaḥ kaścitkiṁcidanāpadi ,
iti vyavasthā bhūtānāṁ purastānmanunā kṛtā.
15. na kenacit yācitavyaḥ kaścit kiñcit anāpadi
iti vyavasthā bhūtānām purastāt manunā kṛtā
15. anāpadi kaścit kenacit kiñcit na yācitavyaḥ

15. No one should ask anything from anyone unless in distress. This rule (vyavasthā) for all beings was established by Manu in ancient times.
