महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-216, verse-7

ब्रह्मोवाच ।
नैतत्ते साधु मघवन्यदेतदनुपृच्छसि ।
पृष्टस्तु नानृतं ब्रूयात्तस्माद्वक्ष्यामि ते बलिम् ॥७॥
7. brahmovāca ,
naitatte sādhu maghavanyadetadanupṛcchasi ,
pṛṣṭastu nānṛtaṁ brūyāttasmādvakṣyāmi te balim.
7. brahmā uvāca na etat te sādhu maghavan yat etat anupṛcchasi
pṛṣṭaḥ tu na anṛtam brūyāt tasmāt vakṣyāmi te balim
7. Brahma said: O Maghavan (Indra), this that you are asking is not proper for you. However, one who is questioned should not speak untruth, therefore I will explain that tribute to you.
