महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-109, verse-5

न तैरनभ्यनुज्ञातो धर्ममन्यं प्रकल्पयेत् ।
यमेतेऽभ्यनुजानीयुः स धर्म इति निश्चयः ॥५॥
5. na tairanabhyanujñāto dharmamanyaṁ prakalpayet ,
yamete'bhyanujānīyuḥ sa dharma iti niścayaḥ.

yam ete abhyanujānīyuḥ saḥ dharmaḥ iti niścayaḥ
5. taiḥ anabhyanujñātaḥ anyam dharmam na prakalpayet

5. Without their permission, one should not formulate any other principle (dharma). That which these (elders) approve, that is definitively the natural law (dharma).
