महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-109, verse-22

येन प्रीताश्च पितरस्तेन प्रीतः पितामहः ।
प्रीणाति मातरं येन पृथिवी तेन पूजिता ॥२२॥
22. yena prītāśca pitarastena prītaḥ pitāmahaḥ ,
prīṇāti mātaraṁ yena pṛthivī tena pūjitā.

22. By the one who pleases the ancestors (pitaras), the grandfather is pleased. By the one who pleases the mother, the earth is revered.
