महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-36, verse-6

सूत उवाच ।
अथ कालस्य महतः स मुनिः संशितव्रतः ।
तपस्यभिरतो धीमान्न दारानभ्यकाङ्क्षत ॥६॥
6. sūta uvāca ,
atha kālasya mahataḥ sa muniḥ saṁśitavrataḥ ,
tapasyabhirato dhīmānna dārānabhyakāṅkṣata.
6. sūtaḥ uvāca atha kālasya mahataḥ sa muniḥ saṃśitavrataḥ
tapasi abhirataḥ dhīmān na dārān abhyakāṅkṣata
6. Sūta said: Then, after a long time, that wise sage, whose vows were firm, remained devoted to asceticism and did not desire a wife.
