महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-36, verse-19

धनुष्कोट्या समुत्क्षिप्य स चैनं समुदैक्षत ।
न च किंचिदुवाचैनं शुभं वा यदि वाशुभम् ॥१९॥
19. dhanuṣkoṭyā samutkṣipya sa cainaṁ samudaikṣata ,
na ca kiṁciduvācainaṁ śubhaṁ vā yadi vāśubham.
19. dhanuḥkoṭyā samutkṣipya saḥ ca enam samudaikṣata
na ca kiñcit uvāca enam śubham vā yadi vā aśubham
19. The king, lifting it (the snake) with the tip of his bow, looked at the sage. Yet, the sage said nothing to him, whether good or bad.
