न हि तेन मृगो विद्धो जीवन्गच्छति वै वनम् ।
पूर्वरूपं तु तन्नूनमासीत्स्वर्गगतिं प्रति ।

13. Indeed, a deer, having been struck by him, does not usually go alive into the forest. The fact that the deer, wounded by King Parikshit, vanished was surely a premonition of his journey to heaven.
