महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-17, verse-22

तदन्तकज्वलनसमानवर्चसं पुनः पुनर्न्यपतत वेगवत्तदा ।
विदारयद्दितिदनुजान्सहस्रशः करेरितं पुरुषवरेण संयुगे ॥२२॥

vidārayadditidanujānsahasraśaḥ; kareritaṁ puruṣavareṇa saṁyuge.

22. That discus, which possessed a brilliance equal to the fire of Death, then descended swiftly again and again in battle, impelled by the hand of the best of men (Krishna), tearing apart thousands of the Diti and Danu demons.
