महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-17, verse-1

सूत उवाच ।
अथावरणमुख्यानि नानाप्रहरणानि च ।
प्रगृह्याभ्यद्रवन्देवान्सहिता दैत्यदानवाः ॥१॥
1. sūta uvāca ,
athāvaraṇamukhyāni nānāpraharaṇāni ca ,
pragṛhyābhyadravandevānsahitā daityadānavāḥ.
1. sūtaḥ uvāca atha āvaraṇamukhyāni nānāprāharaṇāni ca
pragṛhya abhyadravan devān sahitāḥ daityadānavāḥ
1. Sūta said: Then, having seized their principal shields and various weapons, the Daityas and Dānavas, united, rushed towards the gods.
