योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-19, verse-9

जीवश्चिद्धनरूपत्वादहमित्येव चेतनात् ।
देशकालक्रियाद्रव्यशक्तीर्निर्माय तिष्ठति ॥ ९ ॥
jīvaściddhanarūpatvādahamityeva cetanāt ,
deśakālakriyādravyaśaktīrnirmāya tiṣṭhati 9
9. jīvaḥ cit-ghana-rūpatvāt aham iti eva cetanāt
deśa-kāla-kriyā-dravya-śaktīḥ nirmāya tiṣṭhati
9. jīvaḥ cit-ghana-rūpatvāt aham iti eva cetanāt
deśa-kāla-kriyā-dravya-śaktīḥ nirmāya tiṣṭhati
9. The individual soul (jīva), by virtue of its intrinsic nature (dharma) as pure consciousness and through its conscious awareness (cetanā) of 'I', creates the powers of space, time, action, and substance, and then exists (within them).
