योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-19, verse-2

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
स्वसंकल्पेन चेत्योक्तं चिदित्यपरनामकम् ।
अनन्तं चेतनाकाशं जीवशब्देन कथ्यते ॥ २ ॥
śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca ,
svasaṃkalpena cetyoktaṃ cidityaparanāmakam ,
anantaṃ cetanākāśaṃ jīvaśabdena kathyate 2

aparanāmakam anantam cetanākāśam jīvaśabdena kathyate

2. Śrī Vasiṣṭha said: "That which is infinite, the boundless expanse of consciousness (cetanākāśa), and is also known by the name 'consciousness' (cit), is declared to be the individual soul (jīva) by means of its own self-conception."
