योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-107, verse-20

इन्द्र उवाच ।
इमे वयमिहायातास्त्वद्गुणातिशयेन खात् ।
हृदि लग्नेन सूत्रेण खगा वनगता इव ॥ २० ॥
indra uvāca ,
ime vayamihāyātāstvadguṇātiśayena khāt ,
hṛdi lagnena sūtreṇa khagā vanagatā iva 20
20. indraḥ uvāca | ime vayam iha āyātāḥ tvadguṇātiśayena
khāt | hṛdi lagnena sūtreṇa khagāḥ vanagatāḥ iva
20. indraḥ uvāca vayam ime khāt iha āyātāḥ,
tvadguṇātiśayena,
hṛdi lagnena sūtreṇa vanagatāḥ khagāḥ iva
20. Indra said: 'We have arrived here from the sky (kha), drawn by the surpassing excellence of your qualities (guṇa), just as birds (khaga), even those gone to the forest, are drawn by a thread (sūtra) attached to their hearts.'
