योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-30, verse-12

प्रार्थयांचक्रिरेऽथाजं दैत्येन्द्रेभपतेर्वधे ।
न क्षमन्ते महान्तोपि पौनःपुन्येन दुष्क्रियाम् ॥ १२ ॥

na kṣamante mahāntopi paunaḥpunyena duṣkriyām 12
12. prārthayāṃcakrire atha ajam daityendrebbhapateḥ vadhe
na kṣamante mahāntaḥ api paunaḥpunyena duṣkriyām
12. atha te ajam daityendrebbhapateḥ vadhe prārthayāṃcakrire.
mahāntaḥ api paunaḥpunyena duṣkriyām na kṣamante.
12. Then, they prayed to the unborn (Aja, Brahma) for the slaying of the lord of the demon-elephants. Indeed, even great beings do not tolerate repeated wicked deeds.
