योगवासिष्ठः yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-4, chapter-19, verse-26

सुषुप्ते सौम्यतां यातैः प्राणैः संचाल्यते यदा ।
स जीवधातुः सा संवित्ततश्चित्ततयोदिता ॥ २६ ॥

suṣupte saumyatāṃ yātaiḥ prāṇaiḥ saṃcālyate yadā ,
sa jīvadhātuḥ sā saṃvittataścittatayoditā 26

26. suṣupte saumyatām yātaiḥ prāṇaiḥ saṃcālyate yadā
saḥ jīva-dhātuḥ sā saṃvit tataḥ cittatayā uditā

26. yadā suṣupte saḥ jīva-dhātuḥ saumyatām yātaiḥ prāṇaiḥ saṃcālyate,
tataḥ sā saṃvit cittatayā uditā (bhavati).

26. When, in deep sleep (suṣupte), that element of life (jīva-dhātu) is moved by the tranquil (saumyatām yātaiḥ) vital breaths (prāṇaiḥ), then that consciousness (saṃvit) is referred to as 'mind' (cittatayā uditā).
