वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-12, verse-29

सो ऽवर्धत तदा राम रावणान्तःपुरे शुभे ।
रक्ष्यमाणो वरस्त्रीभिश्छन्नः काष्ठैरिवानलः ॥२९॥
29. so'vardhata tadā rāma rāvaṇāntaḥpure śubhe ,
rakṣyamāṇo varastrībhiśchannaḥ kāṣṭhairivānalaḥ.
29. saḥ avardhata tadā rāma rāvaṇāntaḥpure śubhe
rakṣyamāṇaḥ varastrībhiḥ channaḥ kāṣṭhaiḥ iva analaḥ
29. O Rama, he then grew up in Ravana's beautiful inner palace, protected by the finest women, hidden like a fire (anala) covered by wood.
