वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-12, verse-16

प्रहसन्प्राह दैत्येन्द्रो राक्षसेन्द्रमिदं वचः ।
इयं ममात्मजा राजन् हेमयाप्सरसा धृता ।
कन्या मन्दोदरी नाम पत्न्यर्थं प्रतिगृह्यताम् ॥१६॥
16. prahasanprāha daityendro rākṣasendramidaṃ vacaḥ ,
iyaṃ mamātmajā rājan hemayāpsarasā dhṛtā ,
kanyā mandodarī nāma patnyarthaṃ pratigṛhyatām.

16. Smiling, the king of daityas (Maya) spoke these words to the king of rākṣasas: 'This daughter of mine, O king, was conceived by the apsaras Hemā. Let this maiden, named Mandodarī, be accepted as your wife.'
