मातले पश्य संरब्धमापतन्तं रथं रिपोः ।
यथापसव्यं पतता वेगेन महता पुनः ।
समरे हन्तुमात्मानं तथानेन कृता मतिः ॥४॥
4. mātale paśya saṃrabdhamāpatantaṃ rathaṃ ripoḥ ,
yathāpasavyaṃ patatā vegena mahatā punaḥ ,
samare hantumātmānaṃ tathānena kṛtā matiḥ.

4. Matali, behold the enemy's enraged chariot approaching! With such great, swiftly moving, and ominous speed, it appears he has resolved to destroy himself in battle, much like an ill omen (apavaya) indicates impending doom.
