स तथाप्युग्रतेजाः सन्निर्धूतस्तस्य तेजसा ।
पत्रगुह्यान्तरे सक्तो हनूमान् संवृतो ऽभवत् ॥२७॥

27. Though he (Hanuman) was himself of fierce energy, he was nonetheless overwhelmed by Rāvaṇa's power (tejas). Hanuman remained concealed, clinging within the dense foliage.
