वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-4, chapter-4, verse-7

शरण्यः सर्वभूतानां पितुर्निर्देशपारगः ।
वीरो दशरथस्यायं पुत्राणां गुणवत्तरः ॥७॥
7. śaraṇyaḥ sarvabhūtānāṃ piturnirdeśapāragaḥ ,
vīro daśarathasyāyaṃ putrāṇāṃ guṇavattaraḥ.
