वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-5, verse-3

तथेति च स राजानमुक्त्वा वेदविदां वरः ।
स्वयं वसिष्ठो भगवान्ययौ रामनिवेशनम् ॥३॥
3. tatheti ca sa rājānamuktvā vedavidāṃ varaḥ ,
svayaṃ vasiṣṭho bhagavānyayau rāmaniveśanam.
3. tathā iti ca saḥ rājānam uktvā veda vidām varaḥ
svayam vasiṣṭhaḥ bhagavān yayau rāmaniveśanam
3. saḥ veda vidām varaḥ vasiṣṭhaḥ bhagavān tathā
iti rājānam uktvā ca svayam rāmaniveśanam yayau
3. And he, the eminent among those who know the Vedas, the venerable Vasiṣṭha, having said "So be it" to the king, himself went to Rama's abode.
