वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-5, verse-17

सिक्तसंमृष्टरथ्या हि तदहर्वनमालिनी ।
आसीदयोध्या नगरी समुच्छ्रितगृहध्वजा ॥१७॥
17. siktasaṃmṛṣṭarathyā hi tadaharvanamālinī ,
āsīdayodhyā nagarī samucchritagṛhadhvajā.

17. Indeed, on that day, Ayodhya city appeared with its streets sprinkled and thoroughly cleaned, adorned with garlands of leaves and flowers, and with banners hoisted high on its houses.
