दुर्गे स्मृता हरसि भीतिमशेषजन्तोः स्वस्थैः स्मृता मतिमतीव शुभां ददासि ।
दारिद्र्यदुःखभयहारिणि का त्वदन्या सर्वोपकारकरणाय सदाऽऽर्द्रचित्ता ॥१७॥

17.
O Durgā, when you are remembered, you remove the fear of every being. When remembered by healthy people, you bestow a most auspicious intellect (mati). Who else but you, O remover of poverty, sorrow, and fear, always has a compassionate heart for rendering all kinds of help?
