अत्यद्भुतं प्रहृतमात्तरुषा तथापि वक्त्रं विलोक्य सहसा महिषासुरेण ॥१२॥

12.
Mahiṣāsura, though filled with great wrath and having struck, suddenly beheld that face which was slightly smiling, spotless, resembled the orb of the full moon, and was radiantly lovely with the splendor of excellent gold, appearing extremely wondrous.
