महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-127, verse-8

अभयं सैन्धवस्याजौ दत्त्वा द्रोणः परंतपः ।
प्रादात्किरीटिने द्वारं पश्य निर्गुणतां मम ॥८॥
8. abhayaṁ saindhavasyājau dattvā droṇaḥ paraṁtapaḥ ,
prādātkirīṭine dvāraṁ paśya nirguṇatāṁ mama.

8. O scorcher of enemies, after granting protection (abhaya) to the king of Sindhu (Jayadratha) in battle, Droṇa then provided an entrance to the crowned one (Arjuna). Behold my worthlessness (nirguṇatā)!
