महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-115, verse-6

अनुमानाच्च पश्यामि नास्ति संजय सैन्धवः ।
युद्धं तु तद्यथा वृत्तं तन्ममाचक्ष्व पृच्छतः ॥६॥
6. anumānācca paśyāmi nāsti saṁjaya saindhavaḥ ,
yuddhaṁ tu tadyathā vṛttaṁ tanmamācakṣva pṛcchataḥ.
6. anumānāt ca paśyāmi na asti sañjaya saindhavaḥ
yuddham tu tat yathā vṛttam tat mama ācakṣva pṛcchataḥ
6. ca anumānāt [aham] paśyāmi,
he sañjaya,
saindhavaḥ na asti.
tu tat yuddham yathā vṛttam,
tat पृच्छतः mama ācakṣva.
6. And by inference, O Sanjaya, I see that the Sindhu king (Jayadratha) no longer exists. However, tell me, who am asking, exactly how that battle transpired.
