महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-2, verse-4

व्यास उवाच ।
राजन्परीतकालास्ते पुत्राश्चान्ये च भूमिपाः ।
ते हनिष्यन्ति संग्रामे समासाद्येतरेतरम् ॥४॥
4. vyāsa uvāca ,
rājanparītakālāste putrāścānye ca bhūmipāḥ ,
te haniṣyanti saṁgrāme samāsādyetaretaram.
4. vyāsa uvāca rājan parītakālāḥ te putrāḥ ca anye ca
bhūmipāḥ te haniṣyanti saṃgrāme samāsādya itaretaram
4. vyāsa uvāca rājan te putrāḥ ca anye ca bhūmipāḥ
parītakālāḥ te saṃgrāme itaretaram samāsādya haniṣyanti
4. Vyāsa said: "O King, your sons and the other kings are surrounded by time (kāla), and they will kill each other when they meet in battle."
