महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-13, verse-14

स्वकर्मभिश्च नहुषो नाशं यास्यति दुर्मतिः ।
कंचित्कालमिमं देवा मर्षयध्वमतन्द्रिताः ॥१४॥
14. svakarmabhiśca nahuṣo nāśaṁ yāsyati durmatiḥ ,
kaṁcitkālamimaṁ devā marṣayadhvamatandritāḥ.
14. sva-karmabhiḥ ca nahuṣaḥ nāśam yāsyati durmatiḥ
kañcit kālam imam devāḥ marṣayadhvam atandritāḥ
14. And Nahuṣa, the evil-minded one (durmati), will meet his ruin (nāśa) through his own actions (karma). O gods, for some time, please bear with this situation, remaining vigilant (atandrita).
