ब्रह्महत्याभिभूतो वै शक्रः सुरगणेश्वरः ।
गतिश्च नस्त्वं देवेश पूर्वजो जगतः प्रभुः ।

Indeed, Śakra, the lord of the hosts of gods, is overwhelmed by the sin of killing a brahmin (brahmahatyā). You are our refuge, O lord of gods, the primordial one and master of the universe. You have assumed the form of Viṣṇu for the protection of all beings.
