22.
O son of the best among the twice-born, I was indeed formerly a Brahmin, a diligent student of the Vedas and very proficient in the auxiliary sciences of the Vedas (Vedāṅgas). O Brahmin, it is because of faults committed by myself that I have attained this current state.
