Having observed them (the Pāṇḍavas) settled in Dvaitavana, the residents there then approached them. These residents were endowed with (chaste) asceticism (tapas), self-control (dama), good conduct, and deep meditation (samādhi), having grass, water, and vessels for their provisions, and using stone grinders.
