महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-167, verse-19

ततोऽहमस्त्रमातिष्ठं परमं तिग्मतेजसम् ।
दयितं देवराजस्य माधवं नाम भारत ॥१९॥
19. tato'hamastramātiṣṭhaṁ paramaṁ tigmatejasam ,
dayitaṁ devarājasya mādhavaṁ nāma bhārata.

dayitam devārājasya mādhavam nāma bhārata
19. Then, O Bhārata, I resorted to that supreme weapon, the intensely powerful one, which was beloved by the lord of the gods, named Mādhava.
