विभाण्डक उवाच ।
रक्षांसि चैतानि चरन्ति पुत्र रूपेण तेनाद्भुतदर्शनेन ।
अतुल्यरूपाण्यतिघोरवन्ति विघ्नं सदा तपसश्चिन्तयन्ति ॥१॥

1. vibhāṇḍaka uvāca ,
rakṣāṁsi caitāni caranti putra; rūpeṇa tenādbhutadarśanena ,
atulyarūpāṇyatighoravanti; vighnaṁ sadā tapasaścintayanti.

1. Vibhāṇḍaka said: "Son, these rākṣasas (demons) move about in that amazing form. They are of incomparable appearance, exceedingly terrible, and always contemplate creating obstacles to ascetic practices (tapas)."

1. וִיבְּהָאנְדַקַה אמר, בני, אלה רָאקְשַׁסִים (שדים) המסתובבים בצורה הזאת בעלת המראה המופלא. צורתם אין דומה לה והם נוראים מאוד, ותמיד הם חושבים על מכשולים בפני תרגולי העוצמה הרוחנית.
