महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-105, verse-24

ततः पूर्वोत्तरे देशे समुद्रस्य महीपते ।
विदार्य पातालमथ संक्रुद्धाः सगरात्मजाः ।
अपश्यन्त हयं तत्र विचरन्तं महीतले ॥२४॥
24. tataḥ pūrvottare deśe samudrasya mahīpate ,
vidārya pātālamatha saṁkruddhāḥ sagarātmajāḥ ,
apaśyanta hayaṁ tatra vicarantaṁ mahītale.

saṃkruddhāḥ sagarātmajāḥ apaśyanta
hayam tatra vicarantaṃ mahītale
24. Then, O king, in the northeastern region of the ocean, having torn open the netherworld (pātāla), the enraged sons of Sagara (sagarātmaja) saw the horse wandering there on the surface of the earth.
