महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-89, verse-14

तच्छ्रुत्वा नृपतिस्तस्य हर्षबाष्पाकुलेक्षणः ।
प्रियाख्याननिमित्तं वै ददौ बहु धनं तदा ॥१४॥
14. tacchrutvā nṛpatistasya harṣabāṣpākulekṣaṇaḥ ,
priyākhyānanimittaṁ vai dadau bahu dhanaṁ tadā.
14. tat śrutvā nṛpatiḥ tasya harṣabāṣpākulekṣaṇaḥ
priyākhyānanimittam vai dadau bahu dhanam tadā
14. tat śrutvā tadā nṛpatiḥ harṣabāṣpākulekṣaṇaḥ
vai priyākhyānanimittam tasya bahu dhanam dadau
14. Having heard that, the king, whose eyes were agitated by tears of joy, then indeed gave much wealth to him (the messenger) for delivering the good news.
