महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-89, verse-10

कृष्णा तु द्रौपदी कृष्णं तिर्यक्सासूयमैक्षत ।
प्रतिजग्राह तस्यास्तं प्रणयं चापि केशिहा ।
सख्युः सखा हृषीकेशः साक्षादिव धनंजयः ॥१०॥
10. kṛṣṇā tu draupadī kṛṣṇaṁ tiryaksāsūyamaikṣata ,
pratijagrāha tasyāstaṁ praṇayaṁ cāpi keśihā ,
sakhyuḥ sakhā hṛṣīkeśaḥ sākṣādiva dhanaṁjayaḥ.
10. kṛṣṇā tu draupadī kṛṣṇam tiryak
sāsūyam aikṣata pratijagrāha tasyāḥ tam
praṇayam ca api keśihā sakhyuḥ
sakhā hṛṣīkeśaḥ sākṣāt iva dhanañjayaḥ
10. tu kṛṣṇā draupadī kṛṣṇam tiryak sāsūyam aikṣata.
ca api keśihā tasyāḥ tam praṇayam pratijagrāha.
hṛṣīkeśaḥ dhanañjayaḥ sakhyuḥ sakhā sākṣāt iva
10. But Draupadī (Kṛṣṇā) looked askance at Kṛṣṇa, expressing subtle resentment. And Keśihā (Kṛṣṇa) accepted her affection (praṇaya). Hṛṣīkeśa (Kṛṣṇa) was a true friend to his companion Dhanañjaya (Arjuna), as if directly present.
