अचोद्यमानानि यथा पुष्पाणि च फलानि च ।
स्वकालं नातिवर्तन्ते तथा कर्म पुराकृतम् ॥२३॥

23. Just as flowers and fruits, without being urged, do not exceed their natural time, similarly, actions (karma) performed previously do not deviate from their appointed time.
