महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-154, verse-1

वैशंपायन उवाच ।
एवमुक्त्वा कुरून्सर्वान्भीष्मः शांतनवस्तदा ।
तूष्णीं बभूव कौरव्यः स मुहूर्तमरिंदम ॥१॥
1. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
evamuktvā kurūnsarvānbhīṣmaḥ śāṁtanavastadā ,
tūṣṇīṁ babhūva kauravyaḥ sa muhūrtamariṁdama.
1. Vaiśampāyana uvāca evam uktvā kurūn sarvān bhīṣmaḥ śāntanavaḥ
tadā tūṣṇīm babhūva kauravyaḥ saḥ muhūrtam arindama
1. Vaiśampāyana uvāca: tadā śāntanavaḥ bhīṣmaḥ arindama kauravyaḥ saḥ sarvān kurūn evam uktvā muhūrtam tūṣṇīm babhūva.
1. Vaiśampāyana said: Having thus spoken to all the Kurus, Bhishma, the son of Shantanu, that Kuru warrior and subduer of foes, then became silent for a moment.
