असंशयं भगवन्नादिदेवं द्रक्ष्याम्यहं शिरसाहं प्रसाद्य ।
त्यक्त्वा भोगान्धर्मकामो ह्यरण्यमिच्छे गन्तुं सत्पथं लोकजुष्टम् ॥१८॥

Māndhātā said: 'Without a doubt, O Lord, I shall see the Primeval God, having propitiated him with bowed head. Indeed, having renounced all worldly enjoyments, and being desirous of natural law (dharma), I wish to go to the forest, the path of the virtuous, which is esteemed by all beings.'
