महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-301, verse-9

घ्राणमध्यात्ममित्याहुर्यथाश्रुतिनिदर्शनम् ।
गन्ध एवाधिभूतं तु पृथिवी चाधिदैवतम् ॥९॥
9. ghrāṇamadhyātmamityāhuryathāśrutinidarśanam ,
gandha evādhibhūtaṁ tu pṛthivī cādhidaivatam.

gandhaḥ eva adhibhūtam tu pṛthivī ca adhidaivatam
