महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-180, verse-23

आत्मानं तं विजानीहि सर्वलोकहितात्मकम् ।
तस्मिन्यः संश्रितो देहे ह्यब्बिन्दुरिव पुष्करे ॥२३॥
23. ātmānaṁ taṁ vijānīhi sarvalokahitātmakam ,
tasminyaḥ saṁśrito dehe hyabbinduriva puṣkare.

23. Understand that self (ātman) to be of a nature that promotes the welfare of all worlds. Indeed, the one who resides in this body is like a drop of water on a lotus leaf (unaffected by it).
