महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-180, verse-2

न शरीराश्रितो जीवस्तस्मिन्नष्टे प्रणश्यति ।
यथा समित्सु दग्धासु न प्रणश्यति पावकः ॥२॥
