महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-167, verse-20

मित्रद्रोहो न कर्तव्यः पुरुषेण विशेषतः ।
मित्रध्रुङ्निरयं घोरमनन्तं प्रतिपद्यते ॥२०॥
20. mitradroho na kartavyaḥ puruṣeṇa viśeṣataḥ ,
mitradhruṅnirayaṁ ghoramanantaṁ pratipadyate.
