महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-10, chapter-17, verse-8

वेदाहं हि महादेवं तत्त्वेन भरतर्षभ ।
यानि चास्य पुराणानि कर्माणि विविधान्युत ॥८॥
8. vedāhaṁ hi mahādevaṁ tattvena bharatarṣabha ,
yāni cāsya purāṇāni karmāṇi vividhānyuta.
8. veda aham hi mahādevam tattvena bharatarṣabha
yāni ca asya purāṇāni karmāṇi vividhāni uta
8. bharatarṣabha hi aham tattvena mahādevam veda
ca asya yāni purāṇāni vividhāni karmāṇi uta
8. Indeed, O best of Bhāratas, I truly understand the great God (Mahādeva) in his true essence (tattva). I also know all His ancient and diverse actions (karma).
