महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-10, chapter-17, verse-19

विहितान्नाः प्रजास्तास्तु जग्मुस्तुष्टा यथागतम् ।
ततो ववृधिरे राजन्प्रीतिमत्यः स्वयोनिषु ॥१९॥
19. vihitānnāḥ prajāstāstu jagmustuṣṭā yathāgatam ,
tato vavṛdhire rājanprītimatyaḥ svayoniṣu.

19. But those creatures, for whom food had been provided, went away satisfied, each to their own abode. Then, O king, they greatly increased, becoming affectionate towards their own species.
