महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-10, chapter-17, verse-7

प्रसन्नो हि महादेवो दद्यादमरतामपि ।
वीर्यं च गिरिशो दद्याद्येनेन्द्रमपि शातयेत् ॥७॥
7. prasanno hi mahādevo dadyādamaratāmapi ,
vīryaṁ ca giriśo dadyādyenendramapi śātayet.
7. prasannaḥ hi mahādevaḥ dadyāt amaratām api
vīryam ca giriśaḥ dadyāt yena indram api śātayet
7. hi prasannaḥ mahādevaḥ amaratām api dadyāt ca
giriśaḥ vīryam dadyāt yena indram api śātayet
7. For indeed, the gratified great God (Mahādeva) can bestow even immortality. And Giriśa (Shiva) can grant such immense power (vīrya) that with it, one could even defeat Indra.
