महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-88, verse-26

वैशंपायन उवाच ।
एवं राजा स महात्मा ह्यतीव स्वैर्दौहित्रैस्तारितोऽमित्रसाहः ।
त्यक्त्वा महीं परमोदारकर्मा स्वर्गं गतः कर्मभिर्व्याप्य पृथ्वीम् ॥२६॥
26. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
evaṁ rājā sa mahātmā hyatīva; svairdauhitraistārito'mitrasāhaḥ ,
tyaktvā mahīṁ paramodārakarmā; svargaṁ gataḥ karmabhirvyāpya pṛthvīm.
26. vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca evam rājā saḥ mahātmā
hi atīva svaiḥ dauhitraiḥ tāritaḥ
amitrasāhaḥ tyaktvā mahīm paramodārakarmā
svargam gataḥ karmabhiḥ vyāpya pṛthvīm
26. Vaiśampaayana said: Thus, that great-souled king, indeed a mighty foe-conqueror, was exceedingly delivered by his own grandsons. Having abandoned the earth, he, whose (karma) deeds were supremely noble, went to heaven after pervading the earth with his actions.
